How it's calculated
For a long trade the move is exit minus entry; for a short it's entry minus exit. Pips are the move divided by the pip size (0.0001 for most pairs, 0.01 for JPY pairs). Gross P/L is pips × pip value per lot × lots. Net P/L subtracts commission per lot times lots.
